The cicada is a good luck symbol and also represents rebirth and immortality. The wings on this one are hanafuda cards ( japanese card game), and these four particular cards- moon, phoenix, crane, and sakura form a yaku, or special card combination. I remember as a kid watching my grandpa play hanafuda with my uncles, and being fascinated by the mysterious symbols and colorful cards.. That memory inspired this design. Vinyl decal.
