Lego Letterpress Printmaking Lab (morning)

Step into the world of Lego Letterpress Printmaking Lab, a unique lab that puts a playful spin on the traditional art of letterpress printing. Instead of using conventional metal type, we utilize colorful and imaginative Lego bricks to create captivating prints.  Students will learn how to arrange Lego bricks to design and print unique artwork. Whether they're drawn to intricate floral patterns, experimenting with various typefaces, or delving into geometric art, Lego Letterpress empowers young artists to transform their ideas into tangible works of art.

Minecraft Coding Lab: Turtle Rescue in the Galapagos (afternoon)

Join us for a Minecraft coding lab where students will gain hands-on experience in computer science and coding. In this lab, students will use the Minecraft Education app to explore computer science and learn the practical applications of coding to modify virtual environments. Throughout the lab, students will combine problem-solving skills with their interest in Minecraft to master basic coding techniques. The highlight of this lab is a virtual journey to the Galapagos Islands, where students will employ coding to aid turtle conservation efforts, drawing inspiration from the work of Charles Darwin. Join us for an educational experience that merges coding with environmental awareness and hands-on learning.
