SPRING BREAK CAMP 2017 – Day 4: Thursday April 13
Scratch Animations: Space Cadet - Ages: 5-8
Design and build your own space-themed video game using Scratch. Students will learn to think like software developers and game designers as they develop their own game.
Junior Robotics: Mars Rover - Ages: 5-8
Build Mars rover using LEGO® Education WeDo™ 2.0. Students will attach sensors their rover to automate the motor vehicle so it can propel itself across different surface area. Using an iPad create the line of code require to get the rover searching the environment. Your rover might just sense other rovers in Mars.
Drone Developer - Ages: 9-12
Learn basic design of building a drone using LEGO® bricks, motors, and flight control board. Students will explore the importance of motor position and propeller shapes for drone to fly. Students will learn how to fly their drones using an iPad. Students do not take home the drones.
Robotics: Bug Movement - Ages: 9-12
Design and create a robot that looks similar to a bug. Students will program their creature to sense its environment and respond by moving. They will test their robots and make adjustment and improvements for faster response time. Students will use LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 for this activity.
