SPRING BREAK 2018: MONDAY APRIL 2 - TINKERERS (Grades K-2)
MINECRAFT PLANETARY SURVIVAL (morning)
Teacher: Hazal Mestci
Minecraft Challenges is based on the idea of community inside/outside the world of Minecraft. This lab bundles all of the creative aspects that your student loves about Minecraft and wrapped it with collaborative learning and problem solving. This lab features many different planets and some of them, such as Earth, are inspired by ones found in our own solar system. There are also other astronomical bodies like asteroids and moons. Your most foremost objective is to survive but then also find a way to explore other planets to scavenge for food and other items necessary for your survival.
LITTLE ROBOT CLUB w/ CUBELETS (afternoon)
Teacher: Jennifer Ramdin
Inspire a love of learning through play. Cubelets® Robot Blocks make it fast and easy to engage children in learning by building robots. There’s no wrong way to build with Cubelets, so it is remarkably easy to transform these blocks into brilliant bundles of robotic curiosity. Snap the robot blocks together and the magnetic faces do the rest. Every unique arrangement is a new robot with novel behaviors emerging from the construction. Invention made easy.
