In-Person Summer 7/19-7/23 MOON!

In-Person Full Week Camp

Engineering + Robotics Lab: We’re Going To The Moon!

In this lab students will learn about the fundamental basics of physics by designing and creating their own rockets to blast off to the moon using Newton’s Third Law of Motion. Students will then get to explore our imaginative terrain on the moon using the Cozmo AI robot by transforming and programming it using block coding and modifying the robot to perform both physical and intellectual tasks during its exploration on the “Moon”.

Comic Book Design: Alternative Universe, Our Second Home The Moon

Students will embark on a journey to the moon through storytelling, and digital comic book creation. We will explore making our drawings digital through both scanning/photography and digital drawing programs, as well as understand the fundamental elements that make up a comic book and learn about character development. Our digital comics will then become physical again through printing and multi-media collaboration. and will learn about distributing comics/books digitally as well as physically to friends and family.
