Mum Cay is the home of one of the continent's most unusual sports: known in common as "Paintaclysm," it's a game in which two teams compete to cover as much of an area as possible in magical paint. Each year, Mum Cay attracts countless tourists from all around the world to watch games hosted at the colossal stadium that covers most of its landmass. Even the merfolk population from the surrounding areas come to watch. The biggest event of the year, the Mum Cup, never fails to impress, and never fails to fill seats - tickets are expensive, and entry is exclusive. Fans, old and new, and competitors, fresh faces and veterans, are incredibly excited for this year's Mum Cup - will it go as planned.

The Mystery of Mum Cay is a homebrew adventure for Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition that focuses on a new style of conflict, situated in the context of a sporting tournament. In the background, however, a subtle, sinister subplot unfolds...
