Description: This workshop introduces beginners to the creative and technical possibilities of digital photography. Through demonstrations and hands-on sessions, students will learn the basics of using their own DSLR cameras and imaging software (Lightroom/Bridge). Topics will include camera operation, shutter speed, aperture, focal length, RAW file formats, white balance, and composition. Lectures about the history of photography and photographic processes, as well as developments in contemporary photography will help inspire, provide references, to build photographic concepts and articulate them.
Equipment/Work Needed:
Please bring your own DSLR camera and laptop. Adobe Lightroom or Adobe Bridge would be great but is not required.
