Science Lab: DIY Terrarium – Build a Tiny Plant World! (morning)

In this hands-on lab, students will create their own DIY terrariums while learning about ecosystems, plant care, and the water cycle. Campers will explore how soil, drainage, light, and humidity work together to support a tiny self-sustaining environment. As they design and build their miniature plant worlds, they’ll also learn basic botany and gain an understanding of how living systems stay in balance.

Minecraft EDU Lab: Sustainable Energy Build Challenge (afternoon)

Explore a custom Minecraft Education island called Renewtopia and discover how solar, tidal, wind, and geothermal energy work. As you travel through the island, you'll learn about each renewable energy source and how it helps power communities in sustainable ways. Then, take on the challenge: design and build an exhibit for a Sustainable Energy Fair. Your build should teach others about one or more of the renewable energy types featured on the island. Use signs, redstone, and creative design to explain how your chosen power source works and why it’s important for the future. This lab promises a mix of educational fun, with free time at the end of each class for further exploration and creativity.
