MINECRAFTEDU: DEFEND THE CASTLE
(Morning Junior, Afternoon Apprentice)
You spend time constructing your castle, but did you remember to protect it? When the first night falls, monsters will be roaming. Defend your castle before your creation get infested with creepers, spiders, zombies and skeletons.
To introduce students to the principles of robotics and programming by utilizing LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3. Students will have the opportunity to design, program and control fully functional robotic models that will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to engage in battle. The challenge will involve two robots going against each other in a sumo match!
JUNIOR ROBOTICS: CAR CREATION
Using LEGO® Education WeDo™ 1.0 sets, students are tasked to build a one-motor moving vehicle. The vehicle need to be able to move forward and backward. Students are challenged to come up with their own design as no instructions will be provided. Through this workshop we will discuss parts of a car such as axles, gears, wheels and chassis.
Junior (ages 5-7), Apprentice (ages 8-12)
DAY CAMP BREAKDOWN:
8:45am – 9am DROP OFF
9am – 12pm MORNING SESSION
12pm – 1pm LUNCH & RECESS
1pm – 4pm AFTERNOON SESSION
LATE PICKUP (EXTRA $30):
4pm – 6pm BOARD GAMES
