Upcycled Art Lab (morning)

Perfect for environmentalists and resourceful kids, this technique allows common waste to be repurposed for a variety of uses! Students will learn how to turn single-use plastic bags into rope, which can then be made into rugs, coasters, mouse pads, wall decorations, or anything that can be woven. In this lab students will fashion a loom and use their plastic rope to practice one of the oldest forms of functional art on Earth - weaving!t.

Minecraft Coding Lab: Moon Mission Challenges (afternoon)

Join us for a Minecraft coding lab where students will gain hands-on experience in computer science and coding. Through the Minecraft Education app, participants will learn how to apply coding techniques to enhance their in-game environments. During the lab, we'll embark on a virtual journey to the moon, tackling coding challenges and mini-missions along the way. By the end of the lab, students will have a practical understanding of Microsoft MakeCode and a foundation in essential coding terminology. Explore the intersection of coding and gaming in this interactive lab.
