Summer 2021 Remote Class
D&D Summer Friday Nites: Unrest in the Undercroft
Remote D&D Campaign
It's had some time to recover, it's back, bigger and debatably better, and radically different - returning to the forefront of interplanar travel is the recently-redubbed New Backdoor. The sprawling locale, somewhere between demiplane and plane-proper has gone from an anarchic rest stop between realms to something more akin to a civilized island society floating in the midst of a quantum ocean between worlds, complete with a government of its own. The only problem? The "old guard," those who inhabited it before it became New Backdoor, are already sick of this setup. Their sketchier business has no place in what Backdoor has become, but the relative popularity of the new infrastructure has made it essentially impossible to fight or take down directly. And so, New Backdoor's criminal underground, known as The Undercroft, came to being. With Undercroft networking and connections becoming more and more promising, many have turned to a larger-scale, admittedly preferred-by-some alternative - interplanar heists, spearheaded by hired adventurers.
Unrest in the Undercroft is a homebrewed adventure for Wizards of the Coast's Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition that offers an opportunity for players to control different characters each session, both of their own creation and otherwise, should they wish. The adventure has quite a lot of room for collaborative storytelling - players are strongly encouraged to come prepared for this.
