Conscious Art Making GP Fall 2019
Conscious Art Making
A variety of strategies and engaging activities will be used to help your child explore emotions, learn about themselves and their minds, build heathier relationships with peers, relieve stress and improve social skills. In this class, I promote the use of mindfulness as a solution to most problems that younger generations face such as aggressiveness, obsessiveness, burnout, lack of problem solving skills, communication problems and ADHD. Most people think that mindfulness practices only include yoga and meditation but mindfulness can be practiced anytime, even when you are creating art or eating. Many fun activities and options to develop the ability to calm oneself down and focus one’s mind is offered so that children can decide which strategy works the best for themselves when creating their own paths to happiness and success.
