Art + Design Lab: Printmaking Studio   

Calling all designers! In this class students will explore a very functional form of design: different forms of print-making. Starting with simpler found-object and block printing, students will then be introduced to linocuts, and the semester will culminate in screen printing. We will learn about aspects of design such as composition, linework, pattern-making, and color to create prints on different materials, including paper and textiles. This class focuses on art-making as a continuous process and collaborating during class critiques.

Multiple class enrollments are encouraged, as class projects will always change and students will continue to become better printmakers.
