Summer 2022 Remote Class
Dungeons & Dragons: The Academy, Arc 7: What Lurks Beyond
Teguhoohoo - known simply to most as "The Academy'' - is often heralded as one of the greatest magical educational institutions around - with its own expansive, dedicated demiplane and experienced staff from across many disciplines, backgrounds, and even realms, it certainly stands apart from the competition.
With yet another academic year just around the corner, in the wake of the worst in an ever-increasingly bad collection of unpleasant events, faculty and students alike wonder what's on the horizon. To many, if not for what they've invested in terms of money and time to come here, the choice would be simple: look away and never come back. To others, the experiences enjoyed and knowledge gained (and to some of those others, the hefty paychecks) is what keep them willingly coming back. However, what draws the Bureau of Reasonable Interplanar Infrastructural Regulation to The Academy is practically the opposite to all of this. And if infrastructural mishaps attract the seemingly squeaky-clean Bureau, what is it that they attract, and why is The Academy so touchy about their visitation, besides the obvious?
The Academy is a homebrewed adventure designed for Wizards of the Coast'sDungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, although it integrates mechanics from Evil Hat Productions' Fate Core System and Hunters Entertainment's Kids on Bikes. The adventure takes place over a series of eight arcs. Each arc of the adventure focuses on particular sets of happenstance at The Academy: the first arc covers shady goings-on at a museum located in The Academy's associated "college town."
