Closing in-person afterschool classes:

Starting tomorrow Monday 3/16 all in-person afterschool classes are CANCELED! We need to implement greater social distancing to do our part to slow down the rate of infection.

  • Online classes will begin Monday 3/23.
  • We will be taking next week to develop a curriculum for online learning at Geek Forest.
  • If your child is currently enrolled in our afterschool, we will be sending you more details on this by mid-week.
  • New D&D classes at 122 Bedford will be postponed. (We will reach out to students enrolled.)

*If you are interested in joining our online classes, but are not already registered, please give us a bit of time as we work through logistics. We will make an announcement if we can accommodate additional kids.

Spring Break 2020:

Along with our regular curriculum we are also developing online courses in case we are still amidst this pandemic.

Will store hours change?

As of today, our new retail location 122 Bedford will be open from 12-7.

How else can I help?

As you can imagine small businesses will be hit hard by this pandemic. We’ve heard from so many customers and friends already who recognize the dilemma we’re facing and we deeply appreciate your concern. Here are some things you can do to help support us and our staff while also extending your generosity to others who may benefit:

  • We will continue our sale for 20% off of Spring Break and Summer of STEAM through the end of March. Use code: SPRING20 at checkout.

  • You can also simply Make a Donation. Those funds will help us keep the lights on, pay our staff, keep stocking our shelves and continue supporting our Geeks in Need Scholarship program for families in need.

From our family to yours, stay well, friends. We’ll get through this together.

How is Geek Forest dealing with COVID-19?

We are taking all the recommended precautions: cleaning surfaces regularly, washing hands regularly, limiting physical contact, etc.

Will afterschool or store hours change?

Today, we will continue to maintain our regular hours.
Our new retail location 122 Bedford will be open from 12-7.

Are afterschool classes still happening?

We will continue to follow the New York Public School schedule. If our area public schools close, we will also close our afterschool programs.  We will keep you posted as we get information.

  • We understand that families need to make personal decisions in the coming days and weeks.  If you decide not to attend, please alert us so we can be prepared. Please always feel free to let us know your thoughts.
